What were the conditions when the temperature reached 200? Towing, temp outside?

You can see my normal temps in the photos above. Yesterday it was 96 degrees outside and the transmission and transfer case temps were at 156 while running 73 mph on the highway and 167 in city driving afterwards on the way to grandma's house. Pretty normal for us. Truck weighed about 7,200 pounds on that run.

I believe I was on a road trip when I noticed the temp. I wasn’t towing anything but from what I remember the temps were in the 90s and I was probably averaging about 70mph on the highway, sustained for about 3-4 hours of driving.

I’ll be sure to keep an eye on that transmission temp in the future. I only noticed it because I was checking my fuel economy for the trip and cycling through the DIC display options.
