TPMS DIC Errors

So this is a new one for me... 2008 Tahoe Z71... The DIC is displaying messages to check pressure on all four tires.

"check front right tire pressure"
"check right rear tire pressure"
"check left front tire pressure"
"check left rear tire pressure"

Tire pressure is fine. All four sensors record pressure accurately.

The TPMS MIL is on as well. No DTC's. Performed a reset twice. I did so the first time using the default easy way (pressing lock/unlock on the fob, following turn signal lights around the Tahoe releasing air, waiting for beeps, etc.). I've done this on our Tahoes many times, always works. The second time used my scan tool, which really just initiates the relearn process the same way the fob does. Both times, the MIL goes out and no messages for about 2-3 miles, then the MIL and messages fire up again.

I get if one goes out, low battery on it, etc., but all four at the same exact time? All sensors are GM OEM.

At first I thought maybe the RCDLR module (where TPMS is located) failed, but as mentioned above, all four sensors are reporting and displaying pressure accurately and there are no DTC's. I haven't checked grounds or run the scope on it yet. I did watch live data using my scan tool... no irregularities, pressures feed as expected, no comm loss, etc.

Anyone have this issue? If so, what was your resolution?

Wow! I have no suggestions on this issue.

The RCDLR module is relatively inexpensive, so you could replace it, since all 4 tires are sending it good signals, but its output shows errors.

Maybe something with the antenna circuit connected to it the RCDLR as welll.
You didn't put foil backed insulation in the rear driver side did you?
Someone insulated around the RCDLR area and it interfered with the signal.

Curious, have you ever replaced your sensors?

if they are the originals they are way past expected lifetime, low battery can cause this or even for them to read incorrect psi
mine are 13 years old as far as I know and are living on borrowed time.
** some high end tpms tools will show the battery level, not sure if that is applicable to gm tpms sensors or not though

Spitballing and a bit off the wall, see if the speed sensors are reporting, and that they're all close in values as you drive.

Pull the internal BCM codes, it will tell you what's wrong.

This is the code you get when the air pressure in the tires is out of the range that was programmed into the RCDLR.

No added insulation, and yeah, new sensors a couple of time, all OEM.

UPDATE... messed around with it again, and a DTC popped up. C0569 - RCDLR system configuration error. Thinking back through the years, the only time any changes were made to the RCDLR module were when I put E load range tires on the Tahoe and reset Tire Type in the RCDLR module to match with 36 lbs as default pressure. Been that way since 2009ish. I reentered those settings... didn't make a difference. On a hunch, I reset the settings back to what is was originally... P and 32 lbs (had to look it up :) ). DIC messages, MIL, and DTC all cleared. Weird. The RCDLR was set for E and 36 for over 15 years without complaining. I then reentered my custom settings, E and 36, no issues. Life is good again. Maybe an impending RCDLR module failure, or, as I've all too often found on these Gen 3 trucks, a bad ground.

Neat, where are you adjusting the tire settings from?
In the RCDLR module then go into Module Setup (I think that's what it is called) and go from there, pretty self-explanatory.

While you cannot change the tire size, you can change the tire type and set the air pressure setting. Setting the air pressure with the tire type let's the computer know when to trigger a warning that the tire is low. What those parameters are I've only speculated about.

There was a time when Tom @goofeyguy tested it out on his Denali and posted about it. Speaking of Tom, where's he been? He has contributed much to this forum.
