When she was growing up she was a Camp Counselor and also a lifeguard. She has seen her share of nicks, cuts and injuries. When she tells me to "Sit down and shut up", I know that the "nurse" in her has taken over. I just grin and take it.

This morning worked on a referral. A 2006 VW Beetle with exhaust smell in the passenger compartment when at idle or moving real slow. A LF klunk noise when turning, like backing out of driveway. Brake noise.
Found severe oil leak that is getting on exhaust and is the smell source. Klunk noise easily duplicated going 20 mph in neighborhood and rock steering from 3 to 9. Suspect in steering shaft or coupling or strut bearing assembly. Suspension and steering LOOK tight. Brake noise is the rear inner pads are thin enough that the rivet that holds the caliper mount springs is rubbing the rotor. Requires a special tool to collapse the caliper pistons. Have to turn the piston clockwise while applying pushing force. Tool worked great.

Been a while. Been busy. Yesterday I diagnosed and fixed an oil leak at the oil filter housing of a 2012 Camry, landlord's daughter, with a 2.5. I removed and replaced with a new housing and found that the leak was the drain cap had been tightened too tight and stretched the threads. Pretty easy job actually. You can see some blow back from the air flow.

Then this morning, I worked on some oil and filter maintenance and ended up also doing the CAF on a 2017 Cherokee 3.2. This was the filthiest CAF I have ever seen.
That's "nuts!" That person might need an exterminator or someone to relocate a certain wildlife creature.
