First off, fairly new to the forum. I lurk here and there looking for answers from time to time but I seldom ever post. I find myself more interested in reading posts than making them.

Today, I write a post to share the story of Yoko, my 08 GMC Yukon SLT. A few weeks ago I wake up, go outside to smoke my morning cigarette and see this...

EVERY DAMN PANEL WAS SCRATCHED TO THE METAL!

Needless to say I was pissed. Drove it around for a week before I could figure out exactly what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to bring it back better than it was when I found it.

During that week I did research and look at a lot of other trucks on the road to figure out exactly what I wanted to do. Since it's all black should I murder it out? nah! Played out. Too many people do it and don't make it look good. I decided to take some chrome off and really just use it for accents.

Body Shop time!!

Now, ready for paint. Oh, you noticed the shot of the headlights. Yup, restoration and retrofit time!!!

These pics were all taken between 10/04 and 11/05. I currently have the truck in my possession but I don't want to post any pics of the finished product until it's completely done. I'll post some retrofit pics though!! I can't resist.

Got a few more goodies in stock. I'll post more pics later. finished product coming on Monday.

Let me know what you guys think so far!

I hate the haters that damage crap for no reason, thank god you are fixing and upgrading the truck your way now. Looking good so far. can't wait for the finished product.

Did you do the body and paint or have it done?

I had it done. I wish I had the time to take on a project like that. Could have saved myself some money.

Here's a pic I took last night while adjusting the projectors.

Gonna try to get her cleaned up today and snap a few pics. Weather has been horrible so she's really dirty right now. Can't use any soap until after the weekend.

I'm working on it. During all of this I've been in the process of moving to a new state. Can't wash it until this weekend. When I get her clean the pics will come. I promise.

coulple questions: what are the specs on the heads? Are you leaving the chrome hood piece chrome or wrapping to black? How was demanding? I want to do it but I'm scared i'll be able to see the outline of the molding in the paint.

Heads - mini d2s projectors and lights

Hood piece- yes, I plan on leaving it chrome. Kinda like being different.

Demolding - I wouldn't recommend without paint or not extensive knowledge of body work. Faded paint is hard to hide no matter what you do.
