And I'll be riding the NNBS until I can afford an S4. And they actually do get 22/28, supposedly.

If all goes according to plan we'll be driving our NNBS until the kids are grown :D

I'd love some crumpets with my tea!

Kidding aside, if the technology is 5+ years behind again I will NOT be looking at these. I think the Nav/radio is maybe 6 technology months ahead of the nav in the NBS. We'll see about the nav in the 2012. I'll bet the new car uses the same nav unit for some reason... they wouldn't revise a nav system for a body style they're going to kill in a year

Why are they going to kill it in a year?

Personally i have yet to see a factory navi unit that i like better than a $500 add on to a HU or a 1200 after market unit that has better EQ and outputs for a system.. simply put most all the factory navi units are behind there times.. bentley has a nice unit according to a buddy. but then again thats a 6 figure car..

GM needs to make a decision to be an innovative leader again and jump ahead to the front of the pack ont he technology side of thing.... OH wow a factory usb hook up.. i had that 8 years ago on my pioneer HU.. Oh ipod integration.. had that shit 10 years ago on my pioneer Premier cd player... OH MP3 cds.. 10 years ago i had that.. i want to see factory blue tooth on work truck models. give us some wow factor on the technology.. you charge me 2k for the technology package and all i get is a POS navi i gould have bought a $150 Garmin.. and an killer HU for that..

agreed they need to get the game up on the technology..

as for the adaptive cruise.. i use cruise alot.. but its not that difficult to actually DRIVE MY car.. i prefer to drive my car than a little box hidden under the dash do it for me.. come on lazy people.. and self parking.. please. i dont trust that shit as far as i can throw a fat chick.. and thats not that far lol.. parking sensors are nice but i do fine with my mirrors.. i feel if you need 25 cameras and sensors to park your SUV you should not be driving it.. i took and passed my drivers test in a 96 choo choo customs BURB and didnt bat an eye..

screw parking sensors. i want the freaking JAMES BOND package.. is that too hard to ask.. . tacks. oil slick, smoke, armor... now thats a package ill shell our cash for..

To me this is the least the 2014+ should have
  • HID's
  • Backup camera
  • Projectors for low beams and maybe fogs
  • A really really white paint job
  • More unique packages like ford is always having
  • Led's like the benz has under the fogs
  • Better grille options
  • Customer service
  • Heated seats standard
  • Cooled seats optional
  • Better nav the need to look at the new system for bmw
  • Have a beefed up package (offroad)
  • Have a street package (sport)
The jeep grand cherokee SRT-8 had 9/10s of the options in 06 were really slackin

GM is sort of like Bose, always behind in technology. By the time they develop something, it has already been out for years. With Bose their Video Wave system comes with an LCD TV, not LED.

New Tahoe will probably be more efficient but lack features other vehicles in the same price range has. No HID lights on all Tahoe models will be a failure on GM. They should have had them on the $63k MSRP Denali.

My info

So today I financed a vehicle for a "supervisor" from the GM plant in Arlington, TX. As you know that's where the Tahoes are built. He just got back from Detroit a few weeks ago after seeing the 2014 Tahoe. This is what he told me:

Front quarter was kind of odd with a double fold in the fender (His words trying to explain it)

Fold flat 3rd row

Huge interior upgrade with everything being more "Cadillacesque"

Contrast stitching in the seats

He just bought his wife a Tahoe from us in December and made the statement that if he knew then what the 14 Tahoe was going to look like he would have waited.

Based on how excited he was talking about the 14 Tahoe I think that it will be a good looking ride.

Also this article is definitely a GM vehicle and not a Ford. Ford has independent rear suspensions this does not.

How is it going to have a fold flat 3rd row if it still has a live axle rear suspension? Ford was able to have a flat 3rd row when they went to an independent rear suspension.
