Did you go back to check your wiring on the camera? It only works while in reverse, correct? When putting everything back into the dash maybe a wire got pinched back there. Did you have to remove the large metal brace behind the dash?

That's why I think it's a wiring problem change the sensor and still get the code.
Yes wiring the camera was stupid easy. Tie the 2 red wires to the green reverse wire , black to black, then red to pink on the deck. I soldered my joints on the reverse light wires , then used spade connectors for the deck connections.

No need to remove the any brace , the head unit is very sallow. Can only play music and such from my phone , usb stick , or sd card. Only has fm radio. Tried running a separate wire from the reverse light to the head unit , same thing happened , never tried a different ground yet. Yes only works in reverse. It never shows any picture in drive when it tries to cut in , just a blue screen saying reversing.

Just got caught up on your build! The led fogs look good! I don’t like amber fogs but that’s just my taste! Good work on color matching the bumper!

So looking to see what kind of led light I need for my puddle lights , I come across a thread where a guy sanded his puddle light lens smooth. So guess what happened....lol. Now I need to decide if I want blue or white light.

I can't even get mine out without them cracking or breaking.

I haven't messed with the camera issue much.
Yeah getting the puddle lights out can be a pain. I found for mine , get the lock to release then work the other side of the lightly and it popped out.

Yessir! I did that, after someone else too. Lol. It’s a nice little assist to more light output! [emoji16]

I put some cool white leds in my puddle lights. Once it gets darker I'll try to grab a pic.

So have been thinking about doing a head and cam swap. A set of 799/243 heads and a small cam. Still need to keep this dd and towing friendly. I must admit I do miss the power of the str8.

Have you done the 6.0 swap? Curious how the ls2 heads compare to the LQ4 truck version.

I have an LS1 with patriot heads and LS7 camshaft in it. The guy I bought it from did the work so not sure exact specs. The motor is in my corvette. I can break tires with 3rd to 4gh gear shift pretty consistently.

Before that built a LT1 with big cam, full 1.6 roller rockers, and I ported and polished heads. That sucker really moved too.

Yes I did the 6.0 swap. It was super easy. Just had have the computer flashed for the 6.0. The biggest difference is the camber size between the 243/799 heads and the 317 heads. 243/799 heads have a 64cc chamber and 317 heads have a 71cc chamber.
Are your patriot heads ported stocks ones? My ls1 in my camaro is stock internals. Has a fast 92/92 intake combo , lt heads , ory , magnaflow catback , clear lid , and a 100 shot of nitrous. Traction sucks though...lol.

So by doing a head swap I would basically end up with lq9 compression. Which I believe is 10.5 instead of 9.5 that lq4 has.
