Tech 2 questions

I'm looking at a tech 2 that's for sale locally to me. the owner says he bought it for his 2010 corvette and had the scanner sitting for about 2 years because he sold his car. here's a copy of the add.

I purchased it on eBay about 5-6 years ago. I had a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport that I used the unit on. Sold the car 2 years ago and no longer have a need for the Tech2

I see from the pictures it comes with candi and about 5 plugs and a case.. what questions do I need to ask to make sure this would work on my 2011 Denali?

Ask what software version it has. The latest is 33.004


@swathdiver might weigh in about connectors,etc. It should come with an AC to DC converter to power it separately (instead of using the vehicle's power). Having that converter is helpful when having to cycle the ignition, which is sometimes done during tests. Saves you from having to restart the Tech 2.

Power up the Tech 2 connected to the vehicle's OBD port, or use the AC/DC converter. After it initializes you should see a screen like this, with the software version displayed:
