Tahoe Rear door (split) wont stay open

I'm sure this is a common problem. Has anyone come up with a solution to the passenger rear split not saying open because of that stupid hold open rod? I guess they just wear out over time.

Go to Oreillys, they sell them there under the Dorman brand. They are like 6 bucks each strap.

they are check straps try junk yard (pocket item) i got mine

from there but the right barn door is not staying open now

i will try to squeeze it with some channel locks.
