I was on the highway and some metal fell off of a work truck/trailer in front of me. Unfortunately, a piece took a bite out of the bottom passenger side corner of the grill on my 2021 Tahoe High Country. It almost looks like a bullet hole. I got quoted over $1,900 for parts and labor to replace the grill, so I'm looking for either 1) some sort of aftermarket accessory I could use to cover it up; or 2) a source to get a grill for a reasonable price (assuming the labor involved is reasonable for me to do in my garage). Any ideas?

It's looking like a grill will cost in the $1,000 neighborhood after shipping and involve fairly significant labor. So, I am trying to find some sort of after market cover up if one is available. Any ideas?

FYI comprehensive insurance would cover that. On a 2021 I’d get it fixed properly.

Agreed, but it happened in December and I didn't claim it because I didn't want a ding on my insurance record. The truck also has 105k miles and I expect to have around 130k by the end of the year, so I am having difficulty dumping too much money into a truck that is probably losing a fair amount of value due to its high mileage.

Looks like your bumper is also jacked up. If it was me I’d get it fixed under insurance because the grill and respray of the bumper won’t be cheap. You pay for insurance use it lol. I’ve made a few claims before. As long as it’s not yearly.

And it’s a not at fault claim so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Fair point. The bumper does have a few knicks but they aren't visible in the picture. The black spots you see are love bugs - one of the not so great parts of living in Florida. I'm not sure what the discoloration is directly under the hole in the grill but it is not visible in person.
