I drive 60 miles a day to and from work, with a lot of construction on the way. My 26's are constantly getting unbalanced and damaged from the long drive to and from work and the quality of the ride is really starting to bother me.

I think I have finally decided to go to a smaller rim.

I currently have 305/30/26's with stock ride height

I found a good deal on black KMC slides with 305/35/24's

Will this be a significantly noticeable difference in ride quality?

Update: Made the switch!

i've had 22's before. i just dont like the look, unless they are stock style, which cost far north of $2k with tires.

I'm getting a steal of a deal on these 24 slides. I just want a better ride and hope 24's are going to do the trick.

I think you are only gaining about 30 mm diameter since the tire aspect ratios are close to the same. 305-30 to 305-35. So it may not change that much.

I just went down to 24's on New York roads. Much depends on tire type. I am running the nankang sp7 right now and anything over 40lbs of pressure and the ride is worse than it was with my 6's on 45lbs. The weight of the package will also play a part. You definitly want to be slightly under 100 lbs a rim and tire.

Well, I pulled the trigger and switched to 24" KMC Slides. I couldn't be happier; the ride is so much better, and I love the look of black wheels with the white truck.

Looks great man! I say black out the rest of the chrome and that will look even better!

I'm thinking about blacking out the entire grill and the bumper in between the grill and in the tow hook area also. Might be too much, but might look cool. I may do some plasti-dip experimenting
