He’s my thoughts on the ANC. The factory “sub” in the center console is a different brand different size different frequency range than the kicker one. So when the bass hits its not the same throwing off the ANC.
I removed the Bose sub in my center console and replaced it with the JL audio stealth box in my Escalade. I didn’t disable ANC the sub hits hard not as hard as the 10w7 I had I’m last gen Escalade but it’s definitely a noticeable improvement.

What kinda amp are you running and where did you place it?

JL 500/1. It’s definitely overkill I have the gain turned all the was down, but I wasn’t going to go buy another amp. It’s installed in the rear storage cabinet. It fits perfectly.

I happen to have a 500/1 sitting in my garage from my old escalade running a solobaric l7 10 inbetween the captain chairs
I'd love to see pics of that setup if you have 'em. I am planning on doing the same thing to my '10 Denali. Maybe going with a box off eBay from a guy called Rodneys Boxes or something like that.

The box is in my garage with amp but I still own my 2010 and can mock it up for you

So here's how the jl 500/1 fit under the seat, I believe I had to remove the padding underneath for clearance issues, and fished the wires to the back side, while cutting slits in the carpet fit the wires. When installed, you do not see the wires.

Here's my dirty old box.... It's a 12, I also had the 10 inch version, but I kept blowing the speaker so upgraded to a 12.

This is it between the captain chairs

Here it is with the armrests down

My set up was I tapped it into the factory system using an audiocontrol LC2I, It got it's remote from the GM lockpick (which has a remote wire that's not hot when engine is off), I snaked the power wire connected to a circuit breaker, through the factory hole in the firewall, and RCA's on the opposite side (coming from the LC2I). The wires were tapped into the factory sub woofers leads (I forgot if it was before or after the amp, but I remember one way didn't work). Also I had to remove the "microphone" from the noise cancelling system, so that it wouldn't give crazy feedback. Sorry for the dirty car, I gave my 2010 to my mom so she can pick up my daughter from school, and she makes a mess of the car. My 2017 is my daily. (my daughter has a things for esky's)

BTW, the back of the box can sit about an inch lowed if you push the box forward a bit. There's a slight lift in the carpet the further back you go.

I want this exact box, but all I find are ones with round holes instead of for a square. Where did you get yours?

Hello, Just bought this kit to install in my 2019 tahoe. Non Bose. When we went to wire it in under dash there are two wires each of the color they are saying to tap in to. Anyone run in to this?

I just installed subwoofer SSUTAYU15. Although, I don't have RPO codes UQA or NKC, I'm still getting feedback. I'll book an appointment for reprogram.

I've had the Kicker sub in for a couple weeks now. Been pretty happy with it for what it is. Here's some pics of the install:

BTW, these red panel clips are the devil.

Anybody know where this foam pad goes? I didn't see it mentioned or pictured in the instructions. It's about 1.5" square.

Off topic but what is that mat you have covering the cargo area? Works with 3rd row up?

Bumping this old thread. Thinking about getting this kit and doing this upgrade. Might be worth the time and $530 if its a noticeable upgrade that adds to my lackluster Bose system.

Would this kit (kicker PSUTA15) still be the best option for adding a sub to my 2017 XL Denali? My wife uses the storage space in the back so a box back there wouldn’t be an option.
