So I've been here for a hot minute, rarely ever post, more lurk, but back in June I rear ended someone and totaled my 2006 Suburban, had full coverage and recieved a decent payout(enough to cover the loan i took out to buy it)

I salvaged(techincally stole, since the insurance company owned it now) as much parts from it i could before it would get scrapped, tow mirrors, guage cluster, radio, etc.(if i had cinder blocks i would've taken the wheels as well) So then i embarked on a search for another suburban with the check the insurance company cut, ended up finding a decent 2004 Z71,185k with some faults(wrong valance for one thing) but i had 2800 to spend and couldn't be picky, drove 2 hours to Kentucky and bought it for 2200 and drove it back.Next day i swapped out the mirrors and put in my gauge cluster and spent a few months piecing together parts to help make it stand out.

Led swapped the interior and put my cluster in,put some Pro Comp and cheap A/T on and have been driving it like this since, it's come along way since i bought it,added some little touches, like an escalade Dash bezel, one thing i learned is after being car less for a week I needed a back up,so a month ago i took a small personal loan out and bought a clean 03 Z71 tahoe with 150k for 3000.
I have owned 4 of these GMT800's now,2 Burbs,2 Tahoes, and have come to the realization that i will probly drive these exclusively for the rest of my life.
