Start, idle, die!

95 tbi 350

will sometimes leave me stranded, then start, idle, die all in 10 seconds
if I hold kit to the flor it will rev to 2k then die
usually start right back up though
I have changed
fuel filter
iacs
plugs
wires
rotor
cap
and throttle body gasket

still no change I'm on my iPhone right now because ironically I'd just died on me again. After a while I can try to start it and it'll be fine. Very frustrating.

i would agree and say check the fuel pressure, especially if you can check it right before and when it dies.

Change out the coolant temp sensor.

I have changed the coolant temp sensor. I dont think I know how to check the actual fuel pressure, and I am not sure where the Fuel pump relay is.
It is very unpredictable when it decides to die and not restart, there seems to be no indicating symptoms or anything, i cant make it do it, and i could take the same path ten times and it may not even happen. but then again it might happen 3 times in one day. It throws no codes due to it being pre-obdII the system in the 1995's isnt as likely to throw a code as the obdII systems.

I am changing the fuel pump tonight, and if my buddy comes through with his spare distributor i will change the ignition module and ignition coil as well tonight.

I really dont think its fuel related, It smells flooded as I try to restart it when it does die and wont start and i hear the pump running as well..... that leads me to beleive th pump and relay may not be bad......

On a '99, the fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment, near the brake master, in a box labeled fuse box, or something. IIRC, it was the one furthest toward the front of the hoe, and furthest inside. But lots changed between 95 and 99, so huge grain of salt. Good luck, you.
