I've been searching this morning for "disable stabilitrak" and was hoping there may be a new method in the 10 months since this was last discussed here.

Any news?

Do you have buttons under radio, towards bottom of dash? Should be truck icon with tire marks below it it, press it and hold it for 5-10 seconds. Once you push it keep holding it down for at least 10 sec ( prob less) and stabilitrac will turn off.

I asked my dealership about this. They said what ever upfitter built the tahoe programmed it what ever way it was ordered. They would need to put in on their computer and turn it back to where you can hold the button for 5 sec to turn it off.

I have the Car with the squiggly lines. Press it once, traction control off. Press and hold..............nothing changes.

This does not work
Maybe not programmed in on ppv, idk...I do it constantly on my lt. Try this.....press once then release and that shuts off traction then, within a sec of releasing button push a second time and hold it and stabil should go off. If you can see it in dic display the minute you push button both will be displayed the traction will say off then stabil will go off as well. If you have the button and display in dic you should be able too turn both off

I found a video on YouTube with a fella demonstrating how the traction control and stabilitrak affect the tire rotation and he showed the ABS fuse under the hood as the one to pull to get completely rid of the computer assisted programming. I pulled the fuse and the truck will spin as far as I want it to, in the rain. Dry pavement, not so much (3.08 gears in mine.)

I just have to put up with no ABS and the dash lights being on.
