Ok, A buddy is having some issues with his door speakers in his 2002 Avalanche.

We installed 4x Boston Acoustics 6" door speakers and a Sony X-Plod head unit about 2 months ago. He called me today saying that his Rear Driver Door and Front Passenger door has slowly faded within the last 2 days. He went to play music today and they don't play any music out those 2 speakers. The other 2 still play just fine. (He turned the head unit settings all the way up for power to the speakers)

What could our issue be? I am thinking it could be a worn out voice coil or blown speaker.

Any body have any ideas?

Thanks

check it with a DMM on the OHM setting and see if it still reads 4ohm (I'm assuming) its alright if its like 5 ohm or something like that because it will vary a little but if its way high or way low its blown
