SOLVED - Whats the easiest way to get the dowel pin on a camshaft lined up with the phaser?

Check out his page where he does the DOD/AFM delete on the Tahoe. He has several detailed videos on the whole process. One of those is the camshaft install.

They can be a tight fit.
Position the cam as close to where it needs to be.
Start the top gear on the pin and wiggle the gear onto the cam.
Make sure the tensioner is retracted with the pin holding it if it that style tensioner.

i got it- took the riming chain off again just to be sure i had it.
