Yesterday I was the victim of a loose cardboard box flying out of a truck on the freeway. I had no option of go around it and took it low on the front end. Only visible evidence is a slightly bent license plate bracket, but it is barely noticeable. However, shortly after I received a "Service Driver Assist" message, which is repeatable every time that I start the vehicle now.

Any insight / suggestions on this? I would like to avoid having to leave it at a shop to address this - or is there a way to perhaps just disable the driver assist?

I had the same on my new Tahoe...It ended up being one of the camera's wire came loose. Sounds the same.

Could be a camera issue, or it could be that a front proximity sensor got knocked, when the box hit the front of the truck.

All of my cameras seem to be working, unless there is another camera that is dedicated to Driver Assist that does not come up on the display?

Sensor in the front bumper had to be replaced. Cheap part - lots of labor...
