side molding

hey fellas!! i know this topic was asked on the old site

i'm replacing my side molding how do i get the sticky

glue off the metal so the new mold can go on :help:

a citrus based cleaner and a little muscle. I heard great things about the 3M eraser wheels also...careful not to burn the paint though.

Just an idea but have you thought about keeping the trim off for a cleaner look? Less stuff to worry about then

oh no!!! i like it with molding gives it a luxury/sport look for me. plus the chrome

love it. them erase wheels are costly

Picked mine up for $22 shipped on ebay. They are worth it though. Removed my pin striping and side molding on my 'Hoe and my brothers.

where did you from? now i would like to use them to take my pin stripes off

it's getting a lot of cracks in them.

thanks that not a bad $$ at all.

i took the old mold off and found that there was damage on both doors pass behind

the door mold so i couldn't leave the off if wanted to but there is a big diff with the

new door mold on nice &shinny. i took pics but can't tell the diff from the pics

So you ended up liking how it looked without molding? That sucks, what kind of damage did you find behind the original molding?

some dent puller holes crack body filler. nah just saying if i changed my mind about putting the new mold on.
