Shock install?

I need to know if i installed my bilsein hd shocks correctly?My front shocks are installed shock-plastic boot-metal washer-rubber bushing then mounting plate rubber bushing-metal washer and nut.But the plastic boot protector keeps falling down.How do you keep it up?

I cut mine off, no need for the boots when the shock has a lifetime warranty.

If so, that's a great company and another reason to get these shocks!!
