I have a 2004 Tahoe. The steering gear was leaking, so I replaced it along with the pitman arm.

Now I'm getting a "service stabilitrak" alert with my first left or right turn. My code reader doesn't pick up any codes.

Any insights?

Anyone have any experience with this one? Curious if replacing the steering wheel positioning sensor would help.

Nope but curious as this might be my next step to try to fix my steering issues.

Doublecheck to make sure you dont have any wiring pinched in between gearbox and chassis frame. Look for partially dislodged connector. Check your ABS sensor wiring harness plug at your upper control arms.

Will look again Mike. Perhaps I knocked something loose with my pounding on the pitman arm with the pickle fork - thank you.
