Planning to replace the belt, however wanted to see what you guys are running. When i had my Trailblazer, i replaced the belt and it started squeeling after 100 miles and was told it was normal for that brand.

Thanx in advance!

I used the ACDelco Gold K060935HD Heavy Duty V-Ribbed Serpentine Belt https://a.co/d/hdAPI11

You should also consider replacing the belt tensioner, they can contribute to the squeal. Avoid belt dressing, they dont work for long.

I’m pretty sure some people return their old belts / stock gets so old that the belt squeals from the git-go. Many old/used belts ‘look’ okay so if you get one that squeals return it as defective so it doesn’t go back into the part bin.

Squeal from any belt is not normal. It typically happens with age or problems with pulleys. Use genuine GM belts when can. If not, I like Gates
It depends on if she likes it. Wait, wrong belt or wrong squeal!

if you doing the AC belt at the same time, i highly recommend a genuine gm/ac delco belt
which are $50+ everywhere or this dayco is a good one, no squealing

If it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is.

@Bagherra if they are all 3 genuine ac delco that would be fair deal, but generally the ac delco AC belt is around $50
I bought these originally, the top one had a oem part number and a picture of a oem belt but was a bait & switch, crap belt that squeaked like hell
the Dayco I noted above is a quality alternative and can still be found for about $18-19.
I would have returned it but I bought these and then waited a couple months before installing so the return window was closed

The tool is to help put the belt on since there is no way to loosen the ac compressor to give you slack

if you buy the ac belt from a dealer i believe it comes with the tool now in the box
I have 2 or 3 different ones
I have the reversible magnetic lisle that I bought for the gmt900 but it doesn't fit on the k2xx because the harmonic balancer is different
the one that came with the junk belt works but it is not magnetic and I think it is install only
lisle might have a different model for the k2xx

Show us which "kit" you're looking at.

In a kit with both belts, one tensioner is for the main belt; if there are two tensioners, the second is for the A/C. If there's no second tensioner the A/C belt likely doesn't need one.

What's on your engine's A/C belt now? Tensioner, or not?
