On our 08, the roof paint went at 2018 and the hood followed about 6 months later. Our go to shop of 20+ years gave a quote of $600 for the roof and $350 for the hood using PPG.

We attempted to just spray clear the 1st time. It turned out ghetto. The total respray on the hood made the truck pop again. We’re waiting to do the roof. If your going to sell in a few years, the cost of a good respray can easily be recovered as well as the reason a seller picks ur truck over a better deal w/ crispy paint.

Exactly.......

( shop quote)...... A lot of the dollar amount is the normal charge for the primer/paint..... That stuff is not cheap.
