Roof rack question

I have an 04 suburban lt, and when I purchased it the roof rack was missing. I got a roof rack off eBay and the rails are supported with plastic brackets. My question is, should there be rubber gaskets between the plastic and the roof where it's bolted on? Thank you.

I thought there might have been. It just didn't seem right without any insulating but I couldn't find anything about it. I hoped it didn't have anything in there because I can't find them. I'm gonna try a dealer but I'm betting there not sold separately. So it's probably gonna get some inner tube cut to size.
