Unfortunately I’m the move last week poor Denali suffered a bit of a mishap. I was trying to get my mattress and box spring moved on my own and they were too wide to fit in the back of my Denali. I was taking the box spring away and the plastic corner piece on the box spring clipped my drivers side tail light and took a chunk out of the plastic lense. I was so mad when it happened... mad at myself for not being more careful... mad that my box spring wouldn’t fit so I could just get it moved and not have to think about it... I was just mad... lol
I had to just calm myself down and “oh well it’s not a major crisis.....”

Fortunately it didn’t affect the seal so no water got in to make the tail light stop working.

Ordered new tails on amazon. Went with a slightly different setup this time. Still the same C shaped LED tube, but the tube on the new set has a red tint instead of a white cover with red LED. IT LOOKS REALLY COOL! Plus the housing is gloss black instead of flat black, so they look REALLY dark! And the border around the edge of the lenses is gloss black instead of clear. Really cool contrast against my silver paint!

I made the swap in the back lot of the mechanics after I had finished washing cars, while I was waiting for the boss to get back from an errand pay me lol.
CG just put a new product, a ceramic infused detailer spray, called Hydro speed. To go in line with their hydro line up, I ordered a bottle. Got delivered yesterday same time as the tail lights. Lol. Hit the new light lenses with a bit of that keep them protected until I can give my truck a fresh ceramic coat I. A couple weeks when I have use of the garage at the ranch.

And then it has an extra C shaped set of individual LEDs, that runs parallel to the tube, that are the brake lights that come in when I hit the pedal, that’s different than my previous tails:

And then the two center stacks of LEDs are turn signals. needless to say I really like the look of the new tails!

Does the crack show when the hatch is closed?

Me no like cracked tail. But me like the news tail. I like this new style best. I almost got the same style but with smoked red lenses. But instead I got another style that nobody on here has:secret:. I’ll post them up later

Got a new toy and a new product to try out from chemical guys! Super stoked! Been seeing the CG carbon line for years and always wanted to try it. Get to play with the new cannon tomorrow on a clients 2011 LTZ Tahoe, and then later in the afternoon on the Nali when I give him a fresh ceramic coating. Gonna be a fun day tomorrow! Stay tuned for hopefully some videos!

If you haven’t gotten a foam cannon yet, what are you waiting for?!?! These things are SO MUCH FUN!! Took a short clip playing with the new cannon today, also borrowed the garage at the ranch to clay and apply a fresh ceramic coating this afternoon. Grabbed the rupes big foot polisher I bought in September and did a little paint correction on the hood. Denali came out look pretty fresh! It was dark after finish so I’ll grab a few reflection shots in the am.

So my radiator has decided to spring a small pinhole crack on the drivers side. It’s been slowly dripping coolant for about a week now. I took today off so I could run down to chemical guys in riverside to grab some fresh product. A 1800radiators warehouse in upland, which is roughly a half hour from the base of the mountain, had a radiator in stock for my truck. Called in for it Thursday and he put the radiator on will call and said it would be ready for me to pick up today. So I topped off my coolant reservoir this morning and hit the road. Nali ran like a tank hard and fast all day without a single temp issue. Picked up the new radiator and ran back to CG in riverside. Hit up sprouts farmers market at the base of the mountain for some fresh groceries and then high tailed it back up highway 38 to big bear. Long day of driving but a satisfying day. Nali is going in first thing Thursday morning to my close family friend that works over at the jeep shop in town for the radiator swap. He’s the only one I really trust to work on the Nali and he’s a damn good mechanic. Lucky the jeep shop owners are clients and will let me bring it in for work occasionally. Their labor rates are a bit pricey but I know my friend will get it done right the first time and that’s worth the labor prices.

PS I thought this shadow pic up against the freeway center divider looked really cool so I snapped it haha.
