removing tape deck / rear audio controls

i removed my factory cd player and went to an aftermarket can i some how remove my tape deck and get a cubby hole for it ? and the rear audio controls can i remove them also? i have seen base model ones with out the tape deck and rear controls and mine is a 01 suburban lt

Your local GM/Chevy dealership should carry a cassette delete pocket. It's part number #15958735. There's a pocket to delete the rear audio controls as well, just don't know the part number.


I put in a DVD player for headrest TV's...

They make it. It's the same pocket for the base model silverado's n such...
