Hi from State48. High-impact, low-cost interior project to remove the center console cassette player in my 2001 Yukon SLT 5.3 and replace w a cubby. The cubby is well made, has a concave recess in bottom to keep stuff in place like 2nd phone, wallet, etc. whole project takes an hour if you take the time to detail clean all the parts while you are at it. 7mm and Phillips Head screws remove the console fascia then push down to unclip the spring loaded mounts on the cassette player, and slide out. Hope this helps somebody!

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea that this was available and ordered it right after your post. My cassette player doesn’t work and this gave me another storage space. Perfect place to put a phone.
