Remote start hvac issues

So I have an issue with my 2011 Yukon xl. Everytime I go and remote start the hvac system doesn't seem to be responding correctly. It's been freezing lately and I go remote start it and no fan is blowing on a clearly frosted windshield. The only thing I see that's working is its turning on the rear defrost. Erg it's making me so made that I go and remote start my vehicle get in and still have it freezing cold.

It should automatically since it shouldn't it even if it's not on auto that's at least what the manual says. Tonight after extending it, it worked properly but I had it duel zone. I'll try it again tomorrow with it in auto, and see if it's better.
