Im curious to know what it costs for an annual vehicle registration on a 2 door tahoe? Would it around what pickup trucks pay annually since its a full size truck? Or would it be considered a station wagon being its a tahoe?
Located in the state of PA.

Also how much does it cost ya to run that 5.7L engine?
Im still searching around and debating some of these thoughts about getting one if I ever did find a nice local one.

I agree. I was considering that option as well but not sure what shipping would cost. Plus I found 2 worth looking at. One has just surface rust on the rockers.

i dont remember what the cost is (pa myself) i can tell you pa considers suv's a station wagon. regardless of the SUVs weight class. atleast they did on both if my last 2 suvs but ive had my 97 for several years. they did jack registration cost recently.

ya i bought a 94 hd 2500 suburban a while ago before my current 97 tahoe and was dreading registering it. back then it was dirt cheap and i was like woa do you have the right information. and i was informed regardless of its weight class an suv is a station wagon. i haven't owned a pickup truck since lol.

My 2 door with tow package (low gearing) gets 6-8mpg in town and about a max of 14mpg freeway, if I take it easy!

You're in PA, but my CA registration bottomed out at $96 a couple years back and has gone up since. This year is $140.

It's not a cheap truck to run MPG wise.

glad my 97 4 dr doesn't get 14 mpg its not that much better most days especially when my wife has it. i can typically keep it in the 17 range. ive gotten better but ive never been able to replicate it so a fluke or my math was off that day.

I should have mentioned I do have a heavy duty fan clutch which obviously doesn't help MPG. (I've been thinking of buying a regular one for winter months as it's so strong) But my AC works great when the truck is parked, and the temp gauge never moves at all, even on a scorching S Cal day, with the aftermarket 3 pass Aluminum rad I installed.

I have a 99 4D, 5.7 Have owned it 10 years. It is rust free, runs like a top . It costs me 80$ ayear for regis. I get 15 mpg all around. It is my primary Lund boat hauler. I am thinking of sell ing it. It is in Mitchell, SD 199K on the clock.

I have a 98 2door with 4wd. I had the old worn out 350 rebuilt and its now a 383. I get about 10-12 mpg in town if I take it easy and about 15mpg on the highway at 70. Registration in Louisiana is dirt cheap. Maybe around 40 bucks for a couple years.
