Hello all! I recently (last week) came into a 2016 Tahoe PPV with 98k miles from a Fire Department here in the great state of Texas. My fantasy is to build this thing to be a Daily/Street build type of vehicle. So far I have a DOD/AFM disabler on the way while the thing is getting some preventative maintenance done. What else do you guys recommend to accomplish the goal of a reliable, fun, daily street build Tahoe.

Biggest bangs for your buck:
better axle gearing - assuming you've a 6L80, aim for 3.73 or 4.10, almost as dramatic as a 6.0L swap for less
ecm & tcm tune - a competent tuner will completely change its personalities (two shift modes!) to suit your tastes
tires / brakes / steering / suspension upgrades - again, to suit your tastes

5w30 engine oil swap
Tighten all ground cables
Check driver side engine mount

Replace transmission cooler/dryier unit. Install new trannsmission cooler line add bypass thermostat. Replace bearings and diffrential fluid

There are. a LOT of bearings on these vehicles. Most of them, IMHO, should only be replaced if they are showing signs of wear/failure. Which bearings are you meaning?

If yours were mine I would check and replace all the fluids along with new factory plugs and wires. Then I would hit up BlackBear and have him tune the truck and shut off AFM in the tune. The tune is your biggest bang for the buck for performance and the foundation upon which all other mods build upon.

Then I would ditch the highway gears for something more fun, like 3.73s or 4.10s.

Then, Supercharger, 6.2 motor or both!

Edit: The 1st thing I would do to a K2 is to replace the thermostat on the side of the transmission. The one in there kills them after about 100K miles.

If the supercharger selected has a positive displacement, I'd reconsider the gearing.
The axle gearing GM tends to select for us for NON-tow pack vehicles, WOULD be just fine,
except that our engines are not supercharged (problem is that they're atmospheric).

If my Tahoe had a supercharger, 3.73 would work GREAT! Since it does not, I dream of 4.10 ...
