LOOKING TO PUT SOME REAR FACING LIGHTS FOR WHEN I AM LOADING MY BOAT. I HAD A F250 WITH FLUSH MOUNT CUBES IN THE BUMPER AND THEY WORKED GREAT JUST DONT WANT TO CUT UP MY BUMPER. I WAS THINKING ABOUT PUTTING A 30" LED BAR ACROSS THE TOP OF THE REAR WINDOW OR 2 10" BARS ON THE BOTTOM. HAS ANYONE EVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR REAR LED LIGHTS? PICTURE OF THE BACK OF MY YUKON WITH WHAT I WANT TO DO AND A PICTURE OF THE LIGHT BAR I WANNA USE.
THANKS

If you have ever seen these things in person and them on, then you would say this is over kill. lol. But have you looked at mounting it to the bottom of the spoiler underneath the third brake light. It would be hidden and you would not get any light or glare like you would most likely get from them being inside how you have it drawn up. Then you could either do two 10" on each side of the spoiler or just one 30" all the way across. I would even say 2 4 bulb LED on each side would suffice for what you need. Just my .02c. Hope it helps, good luck.

Should work. It will look tacky, unless the side of your Tahoe says "Sheriff".

There is such a thing as too much light when asshats have their bars on:

A) during the middle of the day
B) in traffic
C) anywhere there are other cars on the road

I agree 100% but there is a time and place for these kinds of lights. Even the so called fog lights with these LEDs are way to bright for on road driving. I sware, Im going to pistol whip the next person I see driving with these light bars on. lol

Anzo makes a led hitch light. You might like it it just slides over your existing hitch

I just looked it up looks like it would cover the plug for the trailer lights

Ah true. Just to give you an idea. I just installed these two days ago, you may like them or may not. The only other thing I can think of is getting the drop down brackets from rigid industries.you could drill some holes in you hitch and mount two cubes below using the drop brackets.

I mounted mine lower so they would shine down more.

If you mount them up higher on the bumper they'll shine out more.

Could you mount something up on the roof rack, maybe with a quick connect wiring so you can hook it up only when needed?

I think what welfare wagon said would be up your alley. No cutting, and no bulky reverse light sticking out. I belive oracle lighting makes a setup like that. But I'm not sure!

Another thought, what about some type of magnet light? Similar to what tow trucks use when towing a wrecked car with no working lights.
