Rear end

I have a 2000 Tahoe 2wd,and the other night Iccompletely blew my rear end, the shop said it is going to cost me 2000 dollars to rebuild it with a new locker, gears, the whole 9 yards, but I can pretty regularly find rear ends from a salvage yards for 500ish, my question is does the rear end of buy have to be out of a 2wd Taho? Or will a rear end out of a 4x4 Yukon work also? Any advice is welcome

Any rear that is the same width will work you can also find a posi (g81) or limited slip (g80) then a range of ratios just check the codes in the glove box

Any rear end will do imo go 14 bolt
