What's up guys? I am a noob to this forum and I have my first question.

My 99 is runnign cold... at highway speeds with the a/c blasting, my temp is barely 1/4 of the way b/w 100 and 210; so I am assuming it is my thermostat. Anyone concur?

Second, if I have to replace the t-stat, I figure I might as well get the pink coolant out of the radiator, flush it, and replace it with the good 'ole green kind. What do you guys think? How does everyone drain their radiator?

thanks!

Clay

sounds like the stat is stuck open not letting the truck warm up. I run a 190 in mine...but it is tuned for that. It gets really cold here in the winter and with the 160 in there I had AC all year round

they say 180 for NON-F/I and 160 for F/I. But people have 160's in there truck and have no problem.

I don't think you need a tune to run a t-stat...

PM JennaBear on that one.

i used distilled water when flushing, because i don't want all those crappy minerals in my block when flushing.

Ok...You have a 160 t-stat in. Feel the difference? Performance Wise and MPG?

Any noticable difference after the tune? How did you Gauge read?
