I was under the impression that all the XL denali's were 6.0's but thought the regular denali's had either 5.3 or 6.0 but all denali's were AWD! I could be wrong though!

Mmkay. You threw a wrench in the other posts.

Back to top to confirm my original question.

What is the 8th digit of your VIN?

Escalades also came with the 5.3 as an option or standard early on in addition to the 6.0.

Must be, every time I have bought parts, the parts guy's computer just has Denali 6.0 AWD and Denali 6.0 AWD XL, not necessarily in that order, but I never see 2WD or 5.3. I never knew.

EDIT: hmm, I'm not sure how accurate Vehix is, but they show on a 2006 AWD and 6.0 as standard, and on the 'available styles' page, they only show one option, AWD and 6.0
http://www.vehix.com/car-reviews/2006/gmc/yukon-denali/available-trims
Maybe some of the older ones were available without AWD and 6.0? I only checked 2006.

I was under the impression that pre-05's had the option of a 6.0 when it came out and later models had the 5.3...
