There’s a small module on my negative battery cable that connects to a plug on the engine harness. I currently have this unplugged and it doesn’t seem to cause an issue, but does anyone know its purpose? Looks to be an induction sensor but don’t know what it’s purpose is. Thanks!

RVC module, regulated voltage control, unplugging wont hurt anything but eventually it may throw a body code (not a check engine light)
with it unplugged the alternator charging is defaulted to like 13.4v
