I recently bought a 99 Tahoe with no radio. The previous owner took the radio out and cut off the factory plug (idiot) so I bought another plug at Auto Zone. I've ordered an OEM Radio ($50 on craigslist, sweet) and I have a question or two about putting it in.

a) Should the colors from the factory wires and the GM plug from Auto Zone line right up or do I need to test each wire?

b) There are three sets of wires that have had their plugs cut off. I know that the cd player and factory radio both have a place for a plug that's wide/flat. I can't locate that plug so I'm assuming that it was cut off, too (idiot). Would it be easiest just to route a fresh plug from the cd to the radio? In one of the pics you can see the previous idiot's mystery wires hanging out.

I know that's a lot to read, and I really appreciate any help. Thanks!
