Sorry been off the forum for a bit. Before the replacement there was a lot of "play" in my steering. Not sure if it was the combination of the PS pump and the module failing. Anyway after replacing both my steering feels a lot tighter. I don't have that white knuckle death grip while on the highway. What I mean is that every time I move the wheel no matter how slightly my Tahoe feel like it's going to roll. Like my assist was on crack. With the module gone (bypassed) I have a lot more confidence (not overconfidence) about driving. The wind don't have me by the b*lls and I feel good about passing slower vehicles.
Now I know why GM discontinued the module. It's more trouble then what it's worth. The idea seem reasonable, but the long term execution leaves much to be desired.
