Q-Bond and Plast-Aid

It’s been about a year since I posted these products. I don’t sell them, just a frequent user. Q-Bond is usually available at auto part stores and Plast-Aid is available online. Please note that the odor from the Plast-Aid is quite strong until it cures. Both products are pretty much 5 Star rated by consumers.

Forgot to note that the liquid that comes with the Q-Bond also doubles as Super Glue and is very strong. I’ve used it several times to make o’rings the correct size by cutting them and gluing back together.
When it comes to the Plast-Aid and repairing anything plastic, make sure you clean the broken area with either MEK or isopropyl alcohol. The best part is that you can actually make small plastic parts with it i.e. knobs, tabs, etc. it takes a little practice and you can also dye it to the correct color. These items are not your typical “As Seen on TV” products, they do work. The Plast-Aid is also good for fixing hot tub cracks, leaks, etc.


Also, with the Plast-Aid it worth mentioning again that this stuff has a VERY STRONG odor until it cures.

And if you're using MEK, take caution with the fumes. Use in a very open area or use an appropriate respirator. Stuff works great but can damage lungs.

MEK can also cause cancers and Drain Bamage. One of the best solvents if very high percentage. Homo Dep style too many "other" things in it to work as well.
