I swear that's all this guy ever says...

Do they not lock just when you're using you key fob or can you not lock/unlock from the buttons on the armrest either?

Only thing I can think of is your door lock actuators have failed or are failing.

Doesn't explain why your remote start isn't working though. Did this all happen at the same time or has it slowly gotten worse over time?

A quick search on GMpartsdirect.com shows them available for between $60 and $80 each. But with labor $300 sounds close for a dealer quote.

My guess is the install can't be too bad, might be worth doing yourself.

FYI, on gmpartsdirect it's Electrical > Body Electrical > Front Door > Lock Actuator

Bad door lock actuators. You may call your dealer if you've been doing your service work there and see if they can goodwill them since it is a common failure (no it isn't a recall because it isn't safety). The remote start stops working if the check engine light is on, could be covered by your powertrain warranty depending on what the problem is.

100% your door lock actuators. Mine went out about 6 times since I had my yukon. Usually happens when you unlock the car and at the exact moment somone opens the door. It breaks the actuator. They made them soo cheap for these cars it takes very little effort to break them. Dealerships fix these left and right so they keep the parts in stock....if the car is under warranty take it in theyll have it fixed in less then an hour. If not I heard its about 200$ just for the actuator =/. Good luck

So my wife's tahoe sounds just like yours. She has the check engine light on. I had it checked and basically the fuel overfill container???? had fuel in it and that made the check engine light come on. Didn't really plan on getting it fixed since it isn't causing any harm. Then my wife tells me that the remote start doesn't work. Well now I know why.

Her actuators are SHOT. They are complete junk in less than 3 years. We will see how that works out. $300 per door is NOT an option right now.

Thanks for the info.

gmpartsdirect.com has the actuators for $140 each. You have got to be kidding me. I have a hard time believing that I'm going to spend $560 bucks for actuators for her tahoe. The worst part is knowing that you will have to spend that much money again in just a year or two.

i had this same problem in my 08 tahoe all 4 actuators went out a 2 months after my warrenty expired.I was told by the dealer manager that chevy does not have a recall on them but they very aware that the nnbs have a problem with the actuators failing.so a little bit of complaining and they replaced mine for free.
