Finally found a potential candidate. Its a 2003 Tahoe LT autoride with 77000 miles on it. They are asking 10.500$ and it looks clean.

However it has some rust on the tailgate, should i be worried?!
Dealer says undercarriage looks perfect, has been garage kept.

Pictures (alot) here!

Would appreciate your critical views on this car!

$10,500 for a 2003?

I know it's low mileage for a 2003, but you're definitely over paying for those low miles. Trade in is $3,500, sell to private party is around $5,800 on KBB

I live in Europe and supply is not that huge..its €9800 so 10500 usd.

What worries me is the bubbling on the tailgate. Is this an indication it will have rust/bubbles on more places or can it really only be the tailgate as the salesperson say? If it is only the tailgate ill have to get a new one and repaint it.

Ah ok. I changed your profile show it shows you're in Europe, that way you won't get a lot of mis-information...

I live in Florida where we don't really get any rust at all so hopefully someone else can answer that for you...

I think that is pretty high too given there is rust. If it was spotless, maybe. Maintenance records and rust are always my two most important factors when I'm vehicle shopping.

Tailgate, rear bumper, wheel wells, and brake lines right behind the front tire wheel well are where you will see the most rust.

FYI, that's not rust on the lift gate on the first Tahoe. That is just oxidation under the paint, the lift gate is aluminum. Very common issue with these vehicles. Doesn't look bad and for your location, probably not a bad price.
