This is how it was original setup. 15" centerlines on 32" tires stock suspension.

Picked up the 20's dropped the step bar.

Then did the 4/6 DJM drop, had to add 1" helper hangers to level it out.

Here is my 96 I just picked up. She needs some work. But it's mine. It has lower control arms in the front and a leaf kit in the back. It rides like shit. I need to find a set of stock leafs. The kit is a Chisholms. Anyone heard of them?

My '99 LT has only 14,000 original miles. Found it up in New Hampshire. The original owner installed the DJM lowering kit, blacked out bumpers and the SS grille. He also debadged it and put a flowmaster dual exhaust on it. I put on the American Racing wheels- 8/9's X18" with Michelin 255/55's and 275/60's. Wanted a little more sidewall for a better ride and a bit more of the retro look. Took off the roof rack and the hitch. Looks like RoRo and I had the same idea!

My '99 had 15's. I ran 15x7 wheels with 235/75R15 tires

Do you think a 15x8 would fit? And is 235 the widest rear tire that would tuck?

An 8" wheel with the correct offset would work. Even a 10" would. With the correct offset you could probably run up to a 285 tire
