Make sure you can remove the fill plug before removing the drain plug. Sometimes the fill plug is seized and you can’t refill the diff.
I did. It does come out all the way.

Ordered it. Not cheap for a silly plug...but the any bad alternatives are worse..
Ummmm... you DO realize thread titles can be changed by the original poster, don’t you? Because I swear it was titled “PN for rear differential drain plug” at first and was changed but like I said, maybe not. That’s why I asked @new2yukon but he still hasn’t answered....
Any thread that you start will have the option at the top right that says “thread tools” with a down arrow. Hit that and the drop down menu has 2 options- edit title and add a poll. It’s real useful if you want to change the name of a build thread or add “sold” to the title in a classified ad. Or correct a mistake.....
