Pellets in EVAP canister?

I replaced the EVAP cannister 6 months ago. I have it down again (taking down the tank). Should it rattle like pellets inside? The one i replaced had pellets spilling out. This one doesn't spill any, but i can't remember if it rattled like loose pellets inside when i installed it or nor. Thanks

Charcoal pellets. They absorb and hold the fuel vapors to later be burned off by the engine. It's all supposed to be a sealed system, so nothing should be spilling out. Them moving around inside when shaken is normal.
