Before my current 2016 Suburban I had a few 99-06 SUVs. They are a great bargain and if I had a place to work on stuff up here my wife would still be driving one, with a little time and money they'll go forever.

What has everyone else had over the years?

My 2003 Suburban Z71... sorry for the blurry pics, it's been a few years.

My 2004 3/4 Ton 8.1/4L80E leveled Suburban. My favorite SUV I've owned, my wife hated it. 9 mpg and rode like a school bus, such a beast but not what mama wanted with two small kids.

The last ride before the current burb, we only had it for a couple months before my offer to come back to Alaska. 2005 Denali, stock with all the options... sunroof, touchscreen, Bose, middle row TV and buckets.

I love NBS trucks and SUVs. I’m on my 5th NBS, only second SUV tho.

1st was an 05 ECSB Z71 with the L33 aluminum ** 5.3. Leveled on 33 trails, charcoal cloth, buckets/console/Bose/steering wheel controls

Traded that on a Coyote Mustang a couple months after graduating college. Went through a couple more Mustangs and a K5 before buying an almost identical red ECSB. Didn’t keep that one long, don’t have any pictures.

Next was my 06 CCSB Z71 Sierra. My absolute favorite vehicle I’ve had. LM7 5.3 with factory 4.10s, charcoal cloth/buckets/console/nose/steering wheel controls. Leveled and paint matched on 33 trails (my favorite tires, can ya tell?)

Started dating my now wife and she we needed to start saving for a house. Was still paying on the Sierra so it had to go (I literally was sick about selling that truck, still am. Wanna buy it back in a year or two). Bought an 04 5.3 L59 flexfuel 2wd Tahoe LT. White/tan leather, captains chairs, bose, sunroof, LT3s, loaded, stock

Then a lady turned in front of me and this is what became of the Hoe

And that led to my current truck, an 04 Yukon LT. Pewter metallic, grey leather, 2nd row bench, sunroof, LT3s, 2wd. Dropped 2/3 soon to be more

My favorite past truck, 4.8 and a 5 speed. It was a blast.

I still own this one, 2003 2500HD 4wd RCLB, sitting at 314k miles.

For fun a few of my previous not NBS vehicles.

The 97 Firebird, it was my mobile office during the week, logging 5-6,000 miles a month.

On weekends I showed it, here winning a BOC. It typically took about 8 hours of cleaning to get it ready to show.

The 2001 E38 740i (quite possibly my favorite car of my life.)

I have owned many GM vehicles in my short 54 years and a few that were not GM. My wife has had a few lately as well. a 2009 Tahoe LTZ 4wd, which was my favorite of her vehicles, a 2013 Tahoe 2wd and her current 2015 Silverado Z-71.

Here is what happened to the 2009 LTZ, she was stopped on the highway waiting to turn and got rear ended by a guy going 70 mph. It doesn't look bad but it buckled the frame, broke both front seats as well as the rear drivetrain. It knocked her Tahoe about 80' from where she was stopped. Even with the damage she drove it off the highway.

The van that hit her.

If she had been in her Infinity G37s she probably would not be here today.

I can imagine. Damn. I have a couple different choices on my commute and sometimes the one on the interstate backs up at my exit ramp like that. I feel like a sitting duck and always afraid of something like that happening

IMO. I don’t like getting on the shoulder cuz of risking a cut tire but I’m ready to dart if needed. And to block assholes that think they can cut line on the shoulder

The thing that may have saved Toni was the hitch receiver, it took the brunt of the force.

Our little highway is 4 lane with no turn lanes, there have been a lot of people hit either turning or from behind. Tje highway dept. has no plans for a turn lane at this time. The guy that hit Toni was texting and not looking.

I grew up in Gwinnett... got rear ended so many times. Ever time the interstate stops just sit there and wait to get creamed :/

@cheyenne383 , I love all of your NBS rides! Pretty cool! I’m only on my first GM vehicle. Haha. I’m such a youngin compared to all your experiences GM guys! :D

Thanks, I've had a fun time with mostly GM stuff... didn't post the trucks from over the years. I miss a lot of them and don't miss a few :anitoof: You're Denali is looking great!

I hate Gwinnett, too many people, too many morons that can’t drive. Hoping to only live here another 5 years or so. Where I’m talking about is 985 south at 20 right near the mall of ga. I work off friendship road
