What I hate about these new warnings.. You can't just unplug a bulb or fuse, and the button needs to be pushed to clear the display...

Any current codes?

So the light doesn't come on until you reach a certain speed and stop again?

I'm at my last bit of patience on this I had 4 warning lights on for various things and I can not get rid of this pesky light. OK so works fine in park and reverse, comes on in drive but only when I stop,ie get on the highway and it won't come on until I stop, reaching for options, I can take it to the dealer but don't wanna spend the money on something I don't use but the light aggregates me.
Thank you
your probably going to have to either bite the bullet and buy a somewhat decent bi-directional scanner or have the dealer diagnose it.

it has to be a scanner that can read body codes, a typical OBD scanner will not show this data because it is not a obd code

I will try and use it but I suck at this. I had 4 lights on the dash, service suspension, check engine light, tpms as well, got rid of them all except service park assist, I did put new sensors in the rear bumper, but chepies of course

when you use the scanner it should give a code, most likely a Bxxx-xxxx code or similar
if not then it may only show up when the service park assist message is on
some of the system codes are self correcting, so if it detects all is well there is no code until the problem is active

makes me wonder if the shifter linkage/transmission linkage is off a hair, causing it to not turn off the parking sensor
just the squirrel in my mind, lol

Best to find a way to read codes...

But they happen to share a ground point.. ground zone 27 in this diagram..

G302 or #2 in this diagram.. Looks to be under passenger seat.

Have not, but the check engine light should be separate from the park assist

try the method I mentioned previously, test each sensor by parking away from anything near the rear bumper
then put it in reverse/set parking brake/chock wheels if necessary, then while standing to the left or right side of rear bumper, place a object over each sensor 1 at a time, like a broom
each sensor should beep (individually) when a object is placed in front of it.

If you use a scan tool, look for "B" (Body) codes:

  • B0954 through B0961: These codes identify exactly which sensor (Left Corner, Left Middle, etc.) is failing.
  • B0953: Indicates a problem with the Park Assist Mute Circuit.

    Quick Fixes

    • Clean the sensors with a soft cloth and warm water.
    • Check the harness: Crawl under the rear bumper and look for the connector where the bumper harness meets the main chassis harness. Unplug it, check for green corrosion, and apply dielectric grease.
    • Reset: Sometimes, disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes clears a "software hang" in the Park Assist Module.

Have also heard that those sensors emit sound, and I think your cellphone can pick it up?
So if you have a sensor you can't pick up with the microphone, but the rest you can.. That might point to a bad sensor..

I wonder if you were onto something with the selector Doubelieve... Odd that it does not come on in reverse, but it does in drive?

the sensors do make noise but it's 1000x easier to just listen to the vehicle beep, the sound they emit is extremely low
if 1 out of 4 sensors is bad the system still works, it just lets you know when not engaged because it is self checking all the time.
gm could program it to say sensor #3 is bad but they want your money instead, they make it a dummy light so they can make $300 on a $20 sensor

the MTBF on a sensor might be really high like 40,000 hours or something
but that doesn't count rock hits. misalignment, corrosion, water intrusion, etc
