Driving home today I noticed I didn't have oil pressure and the check engine light was on. I pulled into Auto Zone and they scanned it for me. Seems I had the P0523 code. While there I picked up a new sensor. I then stopped by my Chevy dealership and picked up the little filter screen that goes under the sensor. I got home and had it fixed in no time. It's a little tricky because you have to crawl up into the engine bay and work blindly behind the engine. Here are a few pictures of the broken sensor and the tools I used. I repaired it without having to remove the manifold. Its not to bad to repair, just don't drop any tools while back there.
