2011 Escalade. P0442. 125,000 miles.
I ordered a fuel cap, and purge valve. Waiting on delivery.
Any other sugggestions?

The canister vent valve is also suspect. Do a purge and seal test if you want some diagnostic info:

Purge and Seal test will tell you pretty much exactly what's not functioning. Need a good scanner to do it which will also tell you if the fuel tank pressure sensor is working properly.

That's $2,000 at the dealer. After the fuel cap, and purge valve, we'll live with it..

The dealer really wants $2000 to troubleshoot or you just ballparking? Wouldn't surprise me though...

My buddy made the mistake of going to the dealer for a NY State inspection. $650 for a tie rod end. $300 for an alignment, and $200 for an oil change, and $37 for NYS inspection.

$37 is standard NYS inspection on Long Island for many years.

If you do any wrenching, you can easily perform the canister work yourself. Purchase your parts at either RockAuto.com or GMPartsDirect.com, and get much better pricing than the local dealer.
