Here we go again:
- Deleted in 2023 with new CamShaft (bigger) according to the mechanic
- Custom tuned by Baker Engineering in Grand Rapids, MI
So today, after picking up my Denali after having a heavy duty transcooler installed, it hesitated to start and the check engine light was on. Didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Shop scanned and got the dreaded 011 and then p0340. I have the 'historic' fault in my Torque Pro, and it also showed the p0340.
Obviousy the camshaft position sensor needs to be replaced. Is the different camshaft causing issues too?
BACKSTORY:
Last year, my transmission blew after using tow mode, which was not disabled or tuned the same (wasn't told not to use it, now I know). Ever since, reflashing the tune with the new transmission, it clunks a fair bit when it gets hot. Last week, the trans temp was running 200 in highway to city traffic. So I decided to go with a heavy duty transcooler before towing this weekend and eventually get a @BlackBearPerf tune.
Would a failing camshaft position sensor be causing the transmission issues? The downshift when it gets over 175degrees is hard and the clunking worse.
