Jk what your doing is sick.
I have a question though.
This may have been discussed before but what is a must to do motor wise when your looking at getting a supercharger?

I see there are a lot of people on this forum from ATX. Do you guys ever get together like a TahoeYukon club or anything? I'd like to see some of these projects that are going on. I have tools.

On your LQ4 you don't have to do anything. These motors will take a good amount of boost before you have to worry, just make sure the tune is solid and it's getting plenty of fuel. 500hp with stock internals is quite feasible with a 6.0 but adding some arp rod bolts, head studs, and a mild cam/springs/retainers/pushrods will help longevity.

^^^Exactly what Max said. The tune is going to be the most important factor in dialing everything in right so the timing and fuel trims are spot on to avoid detonation and leaning out the afr while under boost.

We need to. There's a few different car meets every Sat night; the better ones are the one at the Home Depot on 1431 between RR and Cedar Park, one at the Y in Oak HIll, and another in the Gateway shopping cntr at 360 & 183.
I'm down for a get together soon. If I remember, I'll start a thread in the lounge section later tonight to see who all wants to meet up one weekend.

Do it. I live right down the street from the 1431 Home Depot. I didn't know the car show was there now. It must be the same guys that used to go by the antique mall until Outback Steakhouse moved in. So are you driving your truck now or what?

UPDATE:

FINALLY, it feels like a supercharged 6.0! Turned the corner around my block, lit 'em up about half throttle and drifted a few yards.
Damn cats were clogged..really bad. I stuck my leaf blower into one cat and nothing came out the other end. The other cat flowed some, but not like it should have. So I cut out the cats and welded in some exhaust tubing in place and took it for a test drive. Un-f'ing-believable to say the least. I only went around the block, so I haven't driven it enough to see if the DTC is still active. Hopefully this takes care of the problem. I'm going to drive it around a little more tonight and see if removing the cats ghosted the P0300 code.
I disconnected the cats when the problem first came about, but at the time, one of the injector wires in the harness came loose and BOSS and I were unaware of it. So when we disconnected the cats, the idle and afr were still whack, so we figured the cats weren't the problem. So after going through the entire p0300 diagnostic table and symptoms about 30x's and not finding anything wrong, I went back to the cats again today and pulled them off. I tried to blow compressed air through it, then stuck my leaf blower up to it and thats when I found out for sure the cats crapped out. A restricted exhaust will cause a p0300 and errenous afr readings, so hopefully all my problems were from that.
