Those could look good. What about removing the cross rails altogether?

I've actually seen that on the road without the rails ... does not look good. :)

Neither do these chrome ones from behind:

Yikes, they look like basket handles they go up so high.

Maybe it's the pic angle tho ... I dunno, I never had a rook rack before so it could be that's how the non-chrome one looks as well.

Denali front ends look better than esky front ends IMO....that'd sway my purchase decision

Because I wanted the 6.2 but I didn't feel like spending the $10k or so more for just a comprable base esky, and I am not a fan of either the Esky front grille nor of the interior layout ... plus I enjoy the modding.

Not sure why you would ask though, changing the tails and third to that of the esky is a rather common modification with both Tahoe and Yukon owners, whom I'm sure all have their own valid reasons for not purchasing an Escalade.

Serge, the NNBS Yukon Hybrid's have the GMC logo on the appliqué above the license plate and it looks great. You should definitely do that! Also have you thought about color matching the front and rear emblems versus chroming them? I think that would look really good.

Ah, well spotted there Felix ... it does look good.

And that's a good idea with the front emblem ... what I'll do is put the chrome one temporarily and have them paint the red insert of the stock one, which has a chrome surround. Sort of a version of the black bow tie/chrome surround I had on the HyHoe.

Then I'll just see which one strikes my eye better.

Thanks bud.

In fact I'll have them do the same for the rear red one as well.

Body color with chrome surround would look great! :waytogo: I've thought about acquiring stock bowties and going that route with mine and going away from the billet for a while.

Wasn't there someone that put the GMC logo on the applique? Can't remember who it was though he had a couple of pics with different lettering position and the GMC logo on the applique looked better IMO.

Nice. That's what I did with the white Tahoe and it looked so good color matched. I think color matching the stockers look the best. The aftermarket emblems look too... Aftermarket :/

Yep he had a storm gray 2010 Denali but he sold it to get a different car. I'm gonna try and dig up the thread. He bought the aftermarket chrome overlay that lies on top of the factory Yukon appliqué that goes above the license plate.

Edit: found it... http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24187

Well if you look he posted some without the chrome overlay and put the GMC emblem on top of the Yukon appliqué. I think both look good and actually considered it for the Tahoe but aftermarket chrome is... Meh.
