Noise only when gas pedal is pressed

That means include the front diffy but no the external axles hub bearings wheels or tires.

Hey guys...this noise is still an issue. Any chance it could be a bad Catalytic converter that is making the noise. I thought about it, and since it only happens when I press the gas pedal, then goes away if I coast, I thought maybe its in the exhaust?
Any thoughts?

Not sure about a leak, but was wondering if a plugged up or bad Cat would sound like this, with the symptom of noise only with gas pedal pressed.

I know this is an old thread, but thought I would help out anyone who's still googling this issue as there didn't seem to be a resolution.
I had the same problem with a grinding noise only when pressing the gas pedal. It felt like the truck was vibrating under my seat. It was a simple issue: bolt came loose on the crossbar and so the bar was hanging down a bit and rubbing against the exhaust. Quick fix (tighten the bolt) and the problem was solved.
